

According to Deadline, the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus has fans and audiences hooked. HBO released a statement stating the show reached 3.4 million U.S. viewers across platforms. The second episode aired on Sunday night and increased by 40% in viewers compared to the premiere episode.
Overall the show has gained a mass following, earning 10.2M viewers in the U.S., which is 92% more than the second season’s first episode. Deadline states season three has outperformed viewership for the second episode of season two, boding a good sign for the rest of the season.
According to Deadline, The White Lotus is now the second-largest returning original series in platform history, behind only House of the Dragon’s second season. Even though the second season holds the series-high same-day audience at 4.1M, the third season might surpass that in the next couple of months. According to Variety, after the first and second seasons were set in Hawaii and Italy, respectively, season three is set at the White Lotus resort in Koh Samui, Thailand, and will follow the storylines of several of the employees and guests.
