Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the new Paramount+ series, will take place within the same timeline after the events unfolded in the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. Comicbook.com reports that the streamer has released the names of the new and returning voice actors.
According to Comicbook.com, the voice actors returning to the TMNT animated series include Rose Byrne (Angie Tribeca, Physical), who will be reprising her previous role of Leatherhead, Natasia Demetriou (What We Do in the Shadows, Stath Lets Flats) returning as Wingnut, a Mutanimal bat who is smart in mechanics and Post Malone (Road House, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse) returning as Ray Fillet, a Mutanimal manta ray who adores singing.
The new voice actors who will be guest stars in Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles include Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad, Kick-Ass), with the role of Pigeon Pete, a new Mutanimal in this version of TMNT, Timothy Olyphant (Justified, Go) as Goldfin, who is the leader of the East River Three, New York’s East River evil villains, transformed in mutants by a machine, Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street, Candy Cane Lane) as Lee the Eel and Danny Trejo (Machete, Predators) as Mustang Sally, two members of the East River Three. Previously announced guest stars include Pete Davidson (The King of Staten Island, The Suicide Squad) as the character of Rod and Alanna Ubach (Bombshell, Coco) as Bishop. According to Comicbook.com, the voice actors from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem stars have been previously announced to returning in this new animated series, which include Shamon Brown Jr. (The Chi) as Michelangelo, Micah Abbey (Grey’s Anatomy, Cousins for Life) as Donatello, Nicolas Cantu (The Good Place, The Walking Dead: World Beyond) as Leonardo, Ayo Edebiri (Bottoms, The Bear) as April O’Neil and Brady Noon (The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, Family Switch) as Raphael.
According to Comicbook.com, the new Paramount+ original animated series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will focus on the new adventures of everyone’s favorite New York heroes. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo will face new threats and fights as they team up with returning allies to survive in the streets of NYC, struggling with their identities as teenagers and turtle heroes. Point Grey Pictures and Nickelodeon Animation produced the series.
According to Comicbook.com, the series is executive produced by Alan Wan (Blue Eye Samurai, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [2012 Series]) and Chris Yost (The Mandalorian, Thor: Ragnarok).
