On Wednesday’s episode of SmartLess, a podcast hosted by Jason Bateman (Ozark, Game Night), Jennifer Aniston (Friends, The Morning Show) was featured as a guest, where she admitted to considering quitting acting within the last two years, according to Buzzfeed. While she declined to say which project drove her to wanting to quit the industry altogether, Aniston stated that it “sucked the life out of me,” via Buzzfeed.
After being asked whether she’d consider quitting the business, Aniston replied, “Quitting? The business? I would have to say, the last two years, that has crossed my mind. Which it never did before,” per Buzzfeed. According to Aniston, these thoughts did not arise because she was “satisfied” with her career, but rather because she had just finished working on an “unprepared project” which exhausted her. As iterated in a Buzzfeed article, she states, “[This was] before The Morning Show…It was after a job I had completed, and I was like, ‘Whoa, that was really…That sucked the life out of me. And I don’t know if this is what interests me.'”
Later, Aniston reiterated that this was an unorganized project with an unfinished script where she felt “stuck.” In the case that she did quit acting, Aniston replied that she would most likely take up interior design, which she describes as being a “happy place” for her.
