The vast galaxy within the Star Wars universe is about to welcome back familiar lawman. According to Screenrant, the character in question is Cobb Vanth, played by Timothy Olyphant (Lucky, Alien: Earth), who first made his appearance in the first episode of The Mandalorian’s second season, in which he teamed up with Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal (Fantastic Four: The Next Steps, Game of Thrones), in order to take down a krayt dragon, with exchangement he must return the armor.
Reported by Screenrant, Disney+ has announced the full cast of the upcoming animated special of the franchise, LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian, which will have original actors returning, but a bit of recasting on some parts. Olyphant will return to voice and reprise his role as Cobb, but sadly Pedro will not be returning. The additional stated in the list will consists of other returning members such as Rosario Dawson (Trance, Kids), Ming-Na Wen (Agents of Shield, Mulan) and Giancarlo Esposito (The Boys, Breaking Bad)
Additionally, new voice talent will be joining the cast, including Gavin Hammon (X-Men ’97, Wayfinder) taking over as Mando. According to Screenrant, the project also includes recasting the role of Greef Karga—originally played in live-action by the late Carl Weathers—who will now be voiced by Carl Lumbly (Justice League: Doom, Young Justice).
This project marks a major milestone for the iconic franchise, featuring the high-profile return of Timothy Olyphant alongside a prominent spotlight on Carl in his series debut. With every new Star Wars project, the galaxy grows simultaneously larger and smaller—expanding side-character lore while tethering them tighter to the same legacy figures, locations, and fate-defining moments.
