Disney’s The Mandalorian has officially announced season three will be released on March 1 only on Disney+, via their official Twitter account. The hit Star Wars spin-off follows a lone bounty hunter as he travels the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic. The series takes place five years after Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, and nine years after Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal (Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Wonder Woman 1984) as The Mandalorian with David Acord (Licorice Pizza, LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales) who voices Pascal’s sidekick Grogu.
The cast also includes Carl Weathers (Predator, Rocky), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul), and Chris Bartlett (The Orville, The Book of Boba Fett). Gina Carano (Deadpool, Fast & Furious 6) previously starred in seasons one and two, but will not make an appearance in season three. The series was created by Jon Favreau, who is known for his role as Happy in the Iron Man, Avengers, and Marvel’s Spider-Man films, as well as having directed Iron Man and Iron Man 2.
Season one and two of The Mandalorian is now available to stream on Disney+.
