CBS All Access has finally given fans what they have been waiting for: the premiere date for season four of the The Good Fight. The legal drama will return April 9 with new episodes weekly on Thursdays, available on the streamer every Thursday thereafter.
The Christine Baranski-led series will have a 10 episode forth season where the characters find themselves navigating a different landscape than ever before, according to CBS All Access’ synopsis for the show. The show was created by Robert and Michelle King in 2016 as a spinoff to CBS’s popular legal drama, The Good Wife.
Season four will pick up after characters Liz Reddick-Lawrence (Audra McDonald), Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo) and Diane (Baranski) were forced to become subsidiaries of the multinational law firm STR Laurie. The law team continue struggling with their lack of agency.
The Good Fight also stars Cush Jumbo, Sarah Steele, Michael Boatman, Nyambi Nyambi and John Larroquette. Additions to the cast for season four includes Hugh Dancy, whose character will be an associate at STR Laurie, as well as Zach Grenier and Michael J. Fox who will reprise their roles from The Good Wife.
Robert and Michelle King also serve as executive producers, along with Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Brooke Kennedy, Liz Glotzer, William Finkelstein and Jonathan Tolins. The Kings co-created the show along with Phil Alden Robinson.
Prior to airing on exclusively on CBS All Access and their live-streaming service, the show premiered with a special broadcast on CBS. The CBS Television Studios produced series is also in association with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions. Season four of The Good Fight airs April 9 with new episodes weekly on Thursdays.
