True-crime has been immensely popular over the years, no doubt. There is something about serial killers’ stories and doings that have us invested. Take for example: “The Zodiac Killer,” Ted Bundy, Charlie Manson, and John Wayne Gacy aka “The Killer Clown.” These are just some of the most well-known real-life killers out there. There have been documentaries, movies, and TV shows dedicated to these men’s lives and their victims. We can add another TV series to the list – “The Golden State Killer.”
Paul Holes was a detective put on the case for years- who then came out as a true hero. It was not until his retirement as Cold Case Investigator/Chief of Forensics that Holes found himself outside of the serial killer’s home. Identified as Joseph James DeAngelo, Holes brought forth the criminal after a series of DNA testing. Holes helped many families with finding closure after the capture. He was given the title of “hero” by those who applauded and praised his work.
As the show will be produced by Oxygen, there are people over at the network who are also fans of Holes. “Paul embodies what Oxygen is all about,” said Rod Aissa, executive VP original programming and development at Oxygen. “His story is of the highest stakes, a career journey with brilliant investigation work that resulted in justice for dozens of victims and their families. He’s deservedly become a true crime icon among fans of the genre, and we’re excited to develop future projects with him.”

I’m retired now, and am looking forward to this next chapter of my career where I can help shine a light on cases that deserve national exposure.”
We’re excited to see Paul Holes’ story on screen very soon.
