Ever wanted to vacation with a celebrity? How about visit Ireland with Joel McHale, or go to Jamaica with Eve? Esquire Network (re-branded G4) is bringing a series that will let viewers do just that.
Esquire is introducing several new shows in the fall, but the Getaway stands apart. In each hour-long episode, viewers will get to experience a different part of the world with a different celebrity. The viewers follow a celeb to their favorite place on Earth, where they provide the inside track on the best things to do, food to eat, and places to hang out.
Entertainment Weekly reveals a full list of celebrities and their favorite places:
- Joel McHale (Community, The Soup) in Belfast, Northern Ireland
- Aisha Tyler (Archer) in Paris
- Grammy Award-winning performer/songwriter Eve in Kingston, Jamaica
- Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation) in Hong Kong
- Acclaimed chef José Andrés in San Juan, Puerto Rico
- Josh Gad (Book of Mormon) in New York City
- Ryan Kwanten (True Blood) in Los Angeles
- Brothers Seth Meyers (Saturday Night Live) and Josh Meyers(MADtv) in Amsterdam
- Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation, the Office) in London
- Paul Feig (creator of Freaks and Geeks, director of Bridesmaids) in Boston
The Getaway is produced by Anthony Bourdain and Zero Point Zero. The show;s first season contains ten episodes, beginning September 25 at 9 PM.
