The Flash returns this week with an all new episode and new speedster.
It’s been a few weeks since we’ve seen a new episode of The Flash, which might have something to do with the scarlet speedster capering around National City with Supergirl for the crossover event which will air on CBS on March 28. For more on the Supergirl/The Flash crossover, mxdwn has the details here.
The CW took to Twitter to remind us to tune in on Tuesday to meet Trajectory.
As previously reported, Allison Page will be joining the cast of The Flash as Eliza Harmon aka Trajectory. And you would think that a new speedster in Central City would be exciting for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), but instead everything gets complicated. And it looks like Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is the only who is enjoying having a new metahuman in town.
This tends to be the trend. When a new character capable of the speed force comes to town, things get messy. As you see in the trailer for this week’s episode, Trajectory is stirring up all kinds of trouble and The Flash is taking the fall. I guess because of the similar red suit and mask it might be easy to mix them up, but you would think someone would have noticed the braids.
We will have to wait to see the trajectory of Paige’s character (pun intended) since the network has not released how long her arc on the show will last. She starts out as a villain, which is clear to see, but will she end up joining Team Flash? And with the recent departure of Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten), are the writers going to potentially try and spin a romantic angle?
The Flash returns Tuesday, March 22 on the CW. And if you missed the last few episodes, you can get caught up on cwtv.com.
