The First Look Image of Disney+ New Goosebumps Reboot Reveals We’re In For A Scare

With Halloween and the fall season starting to creep up on us, a first-look image of the new Disney+ reboot of Goosebumps has been released. The new project, based on the widely known books by R.L. Stine of the same name, will premiere in October. As part of the upcoming premiere of the show, TheWrap shared the first look of the series in their ‘35 Most Anticipated TV Shows of Fall 2023’ list.

Goosebumps will follow a group of teenagers who make the big mistake of unleashing supernatural forces on their hometown. “If you’re ready to embrace all that spooky season has to offer, Goosebumps might offer all the nostalgia and the thrills and chills you’re craving. Inspired by the book series by R.L. Stine, the Disney+ series centers on a group of high school friends who accidentally unearth a nightmare for themselves as they discover a sinister secret hiding in their town. Three decades after a teenage boy named Harold Biddle passed away, the friends throw a Halloween party in his old house, prompting a new haunted reality to come to life. As the kids work together to save their town, they find out some chilling discoveries about their own families.” writes TheWrap in their article that released the first look of the series.

The image, seen in TheWrap’s article, depicts the group of teenagers screaming and assembled in a living room with various household items being used as defense. As this is the first look of the series, it is unknown what exactly the characters are screaming at, but audiences are eager to find out.

The cast of the new series will include Justin Long (New Girl, Barbarian), Ana Yi Puig (Senior Year), Miles McKenna (Guilty Party), Will Price (The Equalizer), Zack Morris (EastEnders), Isa Briones (Star Trek: Picard), and Rachael Harris (Suits, Diary of a Wimpy Kid). Goosebumps will premiere on Disney+ this coming October.
