It’s been seven years since the world was introduced to Prime Video’s The Boys. The series left a lasting impression on many of us and now as we draw closer to the final confrontation we will see who will come out on top and what the future holds?
For those unaware, The Boys is based off of the comic book series under the same name. Both the series and comics asked the question of how would superheroes act in our society? In the series the heroes or “Supes” as they are referred to as are treated like celebrities more than actual superheroes. However behind closed doors they are not heroes. They have no moral code, they do not care about the people they save, and bad if not worse then they appear to be. To combat these individuals are a group of Supe busters known as “The Boys.” The leader Billy Butcher has had a bone to pick with the Supe Homelander from the beginning and does not intend on stopping anytime soon.
In the trailer we see Homelander is looking for a substance known as V1 a substance that can make him immortal. So Butcher and his team are racing against Homelander to get the V1 and also use the virus to kill Homelander and all the other supes allied with Homelander. We all see Ryan, Homelander’s son giving into his powers along with Butcher. We also see the return of Soldier Boy who in Season three was revealed to be Homelander’s father. We also see The Deep and Black Noir II appear to be having some kind of podcast show together which might be used as propaganda for Homelander. We can all agree that there will be a lot at stake when it comes to the final season.
The cast consists of Karl Urban (The Bluff, Mortal Kombat II), Jack Quaid (God of War: Sons of Sparta, My Adventures with Superman), Antony Starr (The Studio, G20), Erin Moriarty (The Big Fix: A Jack Bergin Mystery, Catching Dust), Jessie T. Usher (Pulse, One Date), Laz Alonso (Avatar: Fire and Ash, Fountain of Youth), Chance Crawford (Reunion, The Boys Presents: Diabolical), Tomer Capone (Bekarov Etzli, Slingshot), Karen Fukuhara (Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, Stone Cold Fox), Nathan Mitchell (Ginny & Georgia, Gen V), Colby Minifie (Lovebug, The Surrender), and Jensen Ackles (Tracker, Countdown).
The final season will premiere on April 8, 2026. In the meantime you can stream the previous four seasons on Prime Video for preparation.
