Last night, Lifetime aired its season finale of the Client List.
The show, which is based off of the Lifetime movie with the same name, premiered its first season in April 2012. Season two began in March 2013 with last night’s finale marking the fifteenth episode of the season.
The Client List stars Jennifer Love Hewitt as Riley Parks, a newly single mother struggling to maintain her household’s finances while raising her two young children. Riley begins working at a massage parlor called the Rub, but quickly realizes that her job requires more than the typical massage.
Of course, no Lifetime drama would be complete without a semi-unrealistic plot twist or two. While Riley’s husband Kyle (Brian Hallisay) is untraceable for the duration of season one, Riley and Kyle’s brother Evan (Colin Egglesfield) find themselves falling for one another. The season one finale closes with Kyle returning home, leaving Riley surprised and confused.
Season two focuses on Riley dealing with problems with work, her best friend, her mother and her marriage. The season two finale introduces new problems in Riley’s life: the client list is stolen while her salon is under investigation and her mother decides to move to Austin. Riley seems to scheme her way into repossessing the client list, which she ends up burning, then possibly committing murder of the list’s captor simultaneously.
Viewers are anxiously awaiting the Client List’s return, though no official announcement has been made as to if there will be a season three at all.
