The Cast of ‘Twin Peaks’ Speaks About the Revival

Twin Peaks has announced its revival for quite some time now. Except that in spite of other reboots (anyone remember when Coach tried to make a comeback?), Twin Peaks has an almost organic reason to return to our television sets.

The cult favorite series focused in on the suspicious murder of homecoming beauty Laura Palmer (played by Sheryl Lee) and the subsequent investigation into her death. Directed by David Lynch, the series made audiences just the right amount of unnerved and intrigued with the quirky characters, surrealism, and humor you don’t often find on primetime shows. The series was axed after a low-rated second season in 1991, but Lynch quickly resurrected the series for a film entitled Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, which brought the last week of Laura Palmer’s life to the screen. Like Twin Peaks itself, the reviews have been mixed over the years, but David Lynch is setting up a new return to the town with many of the original cast members.

The original/revived cast of Twin Peaks sat down to discuss their roles in the revival, Indiewire reports. Kyle MacLachlan has long since returned to his role as Special Agent Dale Cooper, but the interview also includes the perspectives of Harry Goaz (Deputy Andy Brennan), and Miguel Ferrer (Agent Albert Rosenfield), among other recognizable Twin Peaks alums.
