‘The Bridgewater Triangle’ is a Thriller Series Coming to FX

FX has acquired the rights to The Bridgewater Triangle for television development. The Bridgewater Triangle is based off of a short story by Brian Miller.

While most have heard of the Bermuda Triangle, few know of the terrifying place known as The Bridgewater Triangle, located in Southeastern Massachusetts. The Bridgewater Triangle covers 17 small towns and 200 square miles of New England. This large spanning area has a long history of well-documented supernatural activity. The area is home to the largest swamp in New England, that plays on the darker side of people’s imaginations. There have been numerous reports of Bigfoot sightings, a supposedly haunted hospital, a tailgating ghost that harasses other drivers before simply disappearing, and other chilling phenomenons.

The television series is a horror thriller that will focus on these creepy small towns. When 17 communities are stricken by a ginormous paranormal event simultaneously, it turns the serene towns upside down, affecting thousands of citizens. Three estranged siblings will be forced to put aside their differences to come together because they are the only ones who can stop it.

Miller, the author of the short story, is attached to write the pilot episode. Another one of Miller’s projects is being adapted. J.J. Abrams’ production company, Bad Robot, is currently developing Miller’s story Necropolis. Miller is represented by Jackoway Tyerman, Epicenter, and CAA for publishing.

Noah Hawley is set to executive produce The Bridgewater Triangle. Hawley will produce with his production company, 26 Keys. Hawley is one of the top producers at FX. He created the Emmy Award Winning anthology series called Fargo. Hawley also produces the highly praised show Legion, which is based off of a Marvel comic book series. The Bridgewater Triangle will fall under Hawley’s overall deal with FX and FX Productions. Joel McKuin represents Hawley and 26 Keys is repped by CAA.

Production has yet to begin on the series and a release date could only be speculated at this point.
