The “herogasm” storyline will be making its way to the Amazon Prime show The Boys, according to Comicbook. Based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys follows influential superheroes as they venture to unveil the truth of the multibillion-dollar conglomerate – Seven and Vought – that manages the heroes and covers up their secrets.
The aforementioned storyline, which represents a parody of comic book events with an emphasis on debauchery, was previously thought of as too vulgar for a live-action television series. However, creator Eric Kripke (Supernatural) took to Twitter to tease fans of an upcoming twist.
Um. So. I’ve just seen dailies that are, by a mile, the craziest fucking dailies I’ve ever seen in my career. Or maybe anyone’s career. #YouAreNotFuckingReady#TheBoys #TheBoysTV @TheBoysTV @VoughtIntl @PrimeVideo @SPTV #SPNFamily pic.twitter.com/pMUuYkUnuQ

The official Twitter account for The Boys then replied to the tweet, stating “keep teasing us like this and we’re gonna have a Herogasm.”

In the comics featuring the Herogasm arc, the Vought superheroes claim that they will be going into space to fight Earth’s greatest threat when in reality they go to a far-off island to participate in an orgy. One of the newer additions to the series, Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) as Captian America parody Soldier Boy, possesses a major role in the original Herogasm comic storyline. He will make his debut in the show’s upcoming season. Both seasons of The Boys are streaming on Amazon Prime, with a third in production.
