While many Disney+ subscribers are busy in the Marvel lore with Friday’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, dedicated Star Wars fans must wait bit longer for the next live-action series. Luckily, some new rumors regarding The Book of Boba Fett have surfaced, according to Comicbook.com.
As of today, we know The Book of Boba Fett will star Temuera Morrison (Once Were Warriors, Aquaman) as the legendary bounty hunter. We last saw him and his lethal sidekick, Ming-Na Wen’s (Mulan, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D) Fennec Shand, descend upon Tatooine at the end of The Mandalorian’s second season. We don’t have many more details concerning the plot, but fans are already theorizing which Mandalorian characters could possibly appear in Fett’s narrative.
According to Comicbook.com, Jordan Maison of Cinelinx reports a loose roster of the original series characters could appear, including Pedro Pascal’s (The Last of Us, Game of Thrones) Din Djarin himself. Since Fett will more than likely be tracking down more nemeses to eliminate, Carl Weather’s (Rocky, Predator) Greef Karga could make an appearance. Karga was a contact for many bounty hunters who provided the locations of targets.
Another rumor purports Cobb Vanth, played by Timothy Olyphant (Justified, The Crazies), could make cameo via Comicbook.com. Not only does the self-appointed sheriff reside on Tatooine, Fett’s last known location, Vanth also has yet to explain how he came in possession of Fett’s Mandalorian armor.
Lastly, Comicbook.com states Bill Burr’s (F is for Family, Paper Tiger) Migs Mayfield could reappear. The reformed ex-convict was freed in season two. By chance Fett finds a need for a crew, Mayfield would be the man to call for the mission.
According to Comicbook.com, The Mandalorian spinoff is set to premiere later this year and will be the bridge series as fans await Mandalorian’s third season. The Book of Boba Fett is just one of at least ten new Star Wars series set to launch on Disney+. Robert Rodriguez (Spy Kids, Alita: Battle Angel) is set to executive produce along with The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Lion King) and writer, Dave Filoni (Star Wars: Rebels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars).
