According to Variety, Vince Gerardis, the executive producer of “Game of Thrones,” is currently developing a new TV drama series called “The 4th Kingdom.” Gerardis describes the show as “Mad Max” meets “Waterworld.” Gerardis represents George R.R. Martin the author of “Thrones.” Additionally, “The 4th Kingdom” has a budget of $40 million to work with.
Paul Chart is set to write for the show which will kickoff with ten episodes. Chart’s professional work as a writer includes “The Children Of Men” (2007), “Journey 3-D” (2008), and “The Book of Life” (2014).
Since Gerardis described “The 4th Kindgdom” as somewhat similar to “Waterworld,” he’s hoping to be able to film the action packed adventure series in the Bahamas.
