The second season will take place in the 90’s in Massachusetts before the first Ted movie as a prequel. The cast of the first season returns for the new season for more fun and chaos.
The trailer can be seen below:
Even though the Ted series started out as a movie, it continues as a short series that adults can enjoy. IMdb writes that viewers are more than eager for a new movie or something Ted related to come back out. They can’t seem to get enough of it. Season two seems to give a taste of how it feels to grow up and realize how it is to be an adult. Peacock had announced season two of Ted since December of 2025, teasing and hinting at it for a while.
Peacock notes that actor Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy), returns to voice and motion capture the main fuzzy teddy bear himself, Max Burholder (Ted, Parenthood) as John Bennett, Scott Grimes (Critters, American Dad!) as Matty Bennett, Allana Ubach (A Haunted House, Meet The Fockers) as Susan Bennett, and Giorgia Whigham (Ted, Marshmallow) as Blaire Bennett.
Not only does MacFarlane voice and motion capture for Ted, but he also writes, directs, and produces the second season as he did for season one of Ted and Family Guy. He does this with Paul Corrigan (Modern Family, King of The Hill), Brad Walsh (Modern Family, King of The Hill), and Fuzzy Door (Family Guy, Ted) and MRC (Tom and Jerry, The Spongebob Movie, Sponge on the run).
Along with season two of Ted coming out, Peacock is also making an animated sequel series at the same time. In the animated show, most of the people from the main show will appear.
The second season will air all eight episodes, 30 minutes each, on Peacock March sixth 2026.
