New Trailer Shows More Crazy Adventures In Peacock’s ‘Ted’ Season Two

According to Variety, Peacock released the official trailer for Ted‘s second season. The series takes place in the 90s in Massachusetts before the first Ted movie as a prequel. The cast of the first season returns for the new season for more fun and chaos.

The trailer can be seen below:

Even though the Ted started out as a movie, it continues as a short eight-episode prequel series that adults can enjoy. According to VarietyTed takes place before the movie in 1990 Framingham, MA, as John Bennett is trying to survive high school. In regular Ted fashion, chaos ensues and as per the tagline of the series,  “Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.”

Variety notes that actor Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy) returns to voice and motion capture the main fuzzy teddy bear himself. Max Burholder (Ted, Parenthood) plays John Bennett, Scott Grimes (Critters, American Dad!) is Matty Bennett, Allana Ubach (A Haunted House, Meet The Fockers) is Susan Bennett, and Giorgia Whigham (Ted, Marshmallow) is Blaire Bennett.

According to Variety, not only does MacFarlane voice and perform the motion capture for Ted, but he also writes, directs, and produces the second season as he did for season one. He does this with Paul Corrigan (Modern Family, King of The Hill) and Brad Walsh (Modern Family, King of The Hill). Aimee Carlson (Cloak & Dagger, Mars), Erica Huggins (The Naked Gun, Good Times), Alan Kleiman (The Orville, Straight A’s) and Jason Clark (Poker Face, The Blackening) of Fuzzy Door also executive produce along with MRC.

Along with season two of Ted, Peacock is also making an animated sequel series, Variety reports. In the animated show, many of the film starts are set to appear including Mark Wahlberg (Four Brothers, The Family Plan), Jessica Barth (Along Came the Devil, Next), and Amanda Seyfried (Mama Mia, The Housemaid).

The second season will air all eight episodes, 30 minutes each, on Peacock March 5, 2026.
