T.J. Miller’s ‘Gorburger’ Is Being Adapted By HBO

HBO is adapting an alien puppet talk show called Gorburger.

The new pilot is based of the YouTube series, The Gorburger Show. This show is a talk show hosted by a giant space puppet, voiced by Silicon Valley star T.J. Miller. The puppet takes over a talk show and interviews celebrities, musicians and well-known icons.

The pilot will feature Moby, Ed Helms, Johnny Knoxville and a music collaboration with Danny Brown and Health as well as a new song from Eagles of Death Metal.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the giant space puppet host invades a Japanese talk show despite only speaking English. The puppet host proceeds to ask his guests both comedic and highly serious questions.

The Gorburger Show spent a total of two seasons on YouTube. Writing the script will be T.J. Miller and the creators of Gorburger, Josh Martin and Ryan McNeely. Martin and McNeely are also directing. Executive producers of the project include Miller, Martin, McNeely, 3 Arts’ Dave Becky, Funny or Die’s Sean Boyle and Mike Farah and The Lonely Island‘s Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone and Andy Samberg.

T.J. Miller is represented by CAA, Becky and Jackoway Tyerman. Josh Martin and Ryan McNeely are repped by Principato-Young and attorney Lev Ginsburg.
