Face Off was renewed for a 7th season and its current 6th season finishes Tuesday, April 22 at 9PM ET/PT on Syfy.
Syfy renewed the critically acclaimed series for a seventh season, which will begin in July. The season is themed “Life and Death.” The contestants will need to create designs that inspire them to explore life, death, rebirth and mortality. Also new to series is judge, Lois Burwell, a Academy-Award winning makeup artist know for her work on Lincoln, Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan, War Horse and War of the Worlds.
Face Off is a reality competition that centers on the world of special-effects make-up artists and their ability to create amazing works of living art. Actor McKenzie Westmore, who is synonymous with the make-up effects field, hosts the show. The series if judged by some of the SFX’s most celebrated figures. They include Academy-Award winner Ve Neill (The Hunger Games, Pirates of the Caribbean), industry veteran Glenn Hetrick (CSI: New Work, Heroes, Legion), and creature designer Neville Page (Avatar, Prometheus.) Hollywood makeup artist Michael Westermore serves as contestant mentor.
The season 6 finale airs on April 22 with George Schminky, Rashaad Santiago and Tyler Green all vying to be the next Face Off champion. In the final challenge, they must create rival alien races that will perform an electrifying dance for world famous music producer and DJ, Rusko.
