For those unfamiliar with the series, Van Helsing follows Vanessa Van Helsing (Overton), a descendant of the legendary line of vampire hunters. She awakens from a 3 year coma after a catastrophic volcano eruption. After this occurs, the last remaining underground vampires rise from the ash-filled sky to take over. Helsing discovers that she is not only immune to the bloodthirsty predators, but can also make vampires human again. Naturally, the vampires see her as a huge threat as she attempts to save humanity. You can watch the action-horror series on Fridays at 10/9c.
