Starz’ dark comedy series Sweetpea has returned with an official teaser for season two. Fans of the series will get to see the continuation of Rhiannon Lewis’ misadventures when it comes to her covering up murder.
For those who don’t know, Sweetpea is a series that follows Rhiannon Lewis, an unassuming and overlooked woman who finally snaps under the weight of her everyday life, grief, and bullying and would end up becoming a serial killer. The series is adapted from C.J. Skuse’s (The Bad Seeds, Thorn in My Side) novel under the same name and is produced by See-Saw Films and associated with Sky Studios.
In the teaser, we see Rhiannon in a diner dealing with the repercussions of the first season. The waitress that she is speaking to lets her know that the man that she broke up with didn’t understand her and that doesn’t make her a bad person. However, in the next scene we see Rhiannon slamming a freezer door shut and responds with: “What does bad even mean?” The waitress tells Rhiannon to lean into who she is, to which Rhiannon offers a smile insinuating that she must embrace who she is, instead of being ashamed or guilty of it.

The second season will debut on Starz in early 2027. In the meantime, you can watch the first season on Starz in order to get caught up for the main event.
