Since its debut on Netflix, Suits has remained consistent as the lead series on the Nielsen Streaming Top 10. According to Variety, it has only dropped from first to second place twice since taking the lead. With a whopping 1.1 billion minutes streamed, it’s no surprise the legal drama has been on top!
The series reached impressive minutes in just six days, from Oct. 9 to Oct. 15, following closely behind The Fall of the House of Usher, which took first place with 1.2 billion minutes during only four days on Netflix.
Suits was in second place for the first time back in September (from Sept. 11 to the 17th) following the release of Virgin River season five, part one.
The Nielsen Streaming Top 10 tracks what’s been watched the most and ranks them. They have three categories: overall, TV and movies. This system is a deciding factor in what gets canceled and renewed; it’s run for the public, by the public.
Grey’s Anatomy ended up in third place, which is usually higher than the medical show charts, with 872 million minutes watched during that six-day viewing window in October. Bluey, the children’s animated TV show, charted fourth place, bringing in 781 million minutes on Disney+.
In fifth and sixth place are Love Island and NCIS. The reality TV show brought in 726 million minutes on Netflix as fans flocked to watch the fifth season and reunion episode. NCIS brought in a whopping 688 million minutes combined on both Netflix and Paramount+.
Some movies, like Haunted Mansion and The Burial, were on the list, bringing in 656 million and 637 minutes on Disney+ and Amazon Prime.
Lupin, a mystery series on Netflix, was the ninth show on the list. This is one of the handful of times it has appeared on the charts, with 635 minutes following its third season.
Last, the final show was Cocomelon, which is often the case, with 604 million minutes on Netflix.
