‘Suicide Squad Isekai’ Finds New Streaming Home At Hulu & Max

According to Comicbook, the new anime series based on DC comic has finally found its streaming home. Today, the team at Warner Bros. Japan announced that the DC Comics anime Suicide Squad Isekai will be streaming on Hulu and Max. The series is also scheduled to premiere on June 27th on both platforms.

Warner Bros. Japan  stated that the series will have a cable debut in Japan on July 5th, which means the series will launch first on the streaming platforms. The series will premiere on Hulu and Max with three episodes, one new every week until the tenth and final episode?

As per Comicbook, the series has generated many global distributors, such as ANIPLUS and LAFTEL in South Korea. Other distributors include ADN in France and HBO GO in Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Suicide Squad Isekai is being produced by Wit Studios, known for animes such as Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Spy x Family, Ranking of Kings and many other well-known titles. The series is being directed by Eri Osada (Kobato.), known for titles such as Spicy Girl and The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat. The series will also have famous YouTuber and singer Mori Calliope (Overkill) singing the ending theme titled “Go-Getters.”

According to Comicbook, the synopsis for the series reads as follows: “In the crime-ridden city of Gotham, Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., has assembled a group of notorious criminals for a mission: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark. These Super-Villains are sent into an otherworldly realm that’s connected to this world through a gate. It’s a world of swords and magic where orcs rampage and dragons rule the skies-an ‘ISEKAI’!”
