Hours after the season one finale of the popular Marvel series, Daredevil: Born Again, the show’s stars Charlie Cox (The Defenders, Treason), who portrays Matt Murdock/Daredevil, along with Vincent D’Onofrio (Echo, Hawkeye), who plays Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, offer a glimpse into the confirmed second season. According to Comicbook, the duo shared behind-the-scenes video on the official Daredevil X page. In the video, the actor has fake blood running across his head and his hand is wrapped up, suggesting he was just filming a sequence where Kingpin recovers from a fight.
According to Comicbook, some of the memorable events from the season that kept audiences watching included the death of Foggy, played by Elden Henson (The Butterfly Effect, The Mighty Ducks), the return of Wilson Bethel (Generation Kill, Collide) as Bullseye, and the killing spree of Muse, played by Hunter Doohan (Wednesday, Soundwave).
According to Comicbook,after Cox listed the major twists within season one, D’Onofrio teased, “That’s just the beginning. We have a lot more coming in the second season from Hell’s Kitchen.” Fans also get a glimpse into key settings, including the return of Fogwell’s Gym, which was crucial to the previous Daredevil series. Furthermore, the new suits that Matt will be wearing in the upcoming season will be inspired by the Shadowland storyline from the comics.
According to Comicbook, the finale shows that Matt and Karen, played by Deborah Ann Woll (Escape Room, The Punisher), will seek to recruit allies such as Frank Castle, played by Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, The Accountant) in order to stop Fisk’s tyranny from spreading throughout New York. Season two is said to begin production soon.
While fans await further news on the release of season two, the entire first season of Daredevil :Born Again is available to stream on Disney+.
