The director of 12 Years a Slave, Steve McQueen is developing his first television project at HBO.
According to Deadline, Steve McQueen is working with Matthew Michael Carnahan (co-writer of World War Z), Russell Simmons, Iain Canning and Emile Sherman for a new HBO drama.
The projected has been described as Six Degrees of Separation and is already exploring cast options. Its title is yet to be determined. 12 Years of Slave got a strong box office start and seems like a potential consideration of a prime Oscar contender.
