Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) has joined the cast of the upcoming action comedy series Twisted Metal, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show will be streaming exclusively on Peacock.
The upcoming series is based on the popular PlayStation video game of the same name. The series has also already landed Anthony Mackie (The Falcon & The Winter Soldier), according to The Hollywood Reporter, who will play the lead opposite to Beatriz’s character, named John Doe. Beatriz’s character’s name is Quiet, who is described as a ferocious car thief who acts solely on instinct and is looking for revenge after coming from a community that forced her into silence which leads to a bond with Doe, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Michael Jonathan Smith (Cobra Kai), Rhett Reese (Deadpool), Paul Wernick (Zombieland), Kitao Sakurai (The Eric Andre Show), Will Arnett (BoJack Horseman), Marc Forman (Hot Date), Jason Spire (The Letter Room), Peter Principato (Hell Baby), Asad Qizilbash (Uncharted), Carter Swan (The New Empress) and Hermen Hulst (Death Stranding) will all serve as executive producers. Some of Beatriz’s notable recent credits include starring in Disney’s animated hit family film, Encanto, and the musical drama film, In the Heights.
