‘Station 19’ Fandom Band Together To Fight ABC’s Decision of Cancelling Coveted Series

Fans everywhere are outraged over ABC’s recent decision last Friday to cancel their beloved drama, Station 19. In a development from our previous story, where executive producer Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal) took to Instagram to pay tribute, fans are now making noise on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram alike with the hashtags #SaveStation19 and #DoNotCancelStation19. There is also petition entitled “Save Station 19,” which has amassed 24,827 signatures, with over 5,000 people signing today and counting on change.org.

The fandom is sharing their favorite moments from the series, encouraging others to do the same, and replying with hashtags to bring awareness to not cancel the series.

One post on X reads, “I feel like it only makes sense if station 19 has 19 seasons, any other number just doesn’t feel right #DoNotCancelStation19 #SaveStation19.”

Others are saying that the love story between characters Maya Bishop, played by Danielle Savre (Heroes, Supernatural), and Carina DeLuca, played by Stefania Spampinato (Grey’s Anatomy, Ford v. Ferrari), is not done yet.

Former showrunner of Station 19, Krista Vernoff (Charmed, Shameless), posted her thoughts on the cancellation on Instagram, and the fandom stands with her views. This post on X, in particular, garnered 10.7K views with 104 reposts and 406 and counting likes.

A post and poll by Just Jared stating which series on various networks and streaming services, such as NBC, ABC and Netflix, deserve one more season reportedly has Station 19 on the list. According to a fan on X, Station 19 has obtained a whopping 6,743 votes.

The fandom has given the network many reasons why Station 19 shouldn’t be canceled; from unfinished love stories to seeing more of their favorite on-screen siblings, fans are speaking out loud and proud.

On the Instagram front, the hashtag #DoNotCancelStation19 has 354 posts; one post, in particular, is listing ways to help spread the word not to cancel the series and urging the fandom to write letters, emails, and make phone calls to ABC. The other hashtag the fandom has started, #SaveStation19, has 453 posts with many heartfelt tributes and memories from the show and pleas for ABC not to cancel the drama series.

It’s no secret that Station 19 has captured the hearts of fans from coast to coast and worldwide. To learn more, head over to change.org.
