

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Starz released the trailer for the fifth and final season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan. The trailer showcases the return of Raquel Thomas played by Patina Miller (Word Party, Madam, Secretary) and finally setting to rest the cliffhanger of the fourth season.
*spoilers ahead* The Hollywood Reporter, reports that prior the fourth season ended with a gun pointed at Raq’s head. Her son was the young man from the other end who blames mom for the death of his best friend and girlfriend.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the fifth season of the series follows Kanan and Breeze on the serious come up in the Southside. This final season of Raising Kanan, which will lead directly into the next prequel in the Power universe, Power: Origins, will see Kanan’s “true ruthlessness” taking shape, per the Starz synopsis. “He knows exactly who he is and who he must become to defeat his enemies.”
“As his relationship with Raq reaches a point of no return, and any chance of reconciliation becomes a distant memory, war is inevitable,” it continues. “Kanan solidifies his place in the Queens drug game alongside Breeze, the Southside legend, and their alliance sets the stage for a reckoning that will ripple through every player in this dangerous business.
