Starz’s spinoff of Power, titled Force, has been renewed for a second season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series began airing its five episode first season in February.
Power ran for six seasons and followed James “Ghost” St. Patrick, who’s busy running both a Fortune 500 business and a drug empire. It starred Omari Hardwick (Spell), Joseph Sikora (Ozark), 50 Cent (For Life), Naturi Naughton (Notorious) and Lela Loren (Altered Carbon). The show’s spinoff, Force, saw Sikora’s character, Tommy Egan, leave New York behind and get involved in Chicago’s drug game.
Force has broken records at the network already, having become Starz’s most watched launch in history on its February 6 debut.
“Fans have been eagerly awaiting Joseph’s return as the iconic Tommy Egan and from the show’s record-setting debut, it was clear right away that they want to see another season of him taking on this new city,” Starz CEO Jeffrey Hirsch said. “We are thrilled to have Joseph back in the Power Universe and to be expanding the world with a new tapestry of power players brought to life by our fantastic cast.”
The Power franchise has been wildly successful for Starz, with its spinoffs Ghost, Raising Kanan, and Force. While Ghost debuted in September 2020, it was renewed later that month, Raising Kanan was renewed fro its second season prior to the debut of the show.
