According to Comicbook.com, Gen V‘s first season finale was entangled with the events happening in The Boys season four. Butcher figured out the super-killing virus was playing a major role in the show’s most recent season, as Gen V stars made minor appearances on The Boys. There is still no official information on Gen V‘s second-season storyline yet.
Gen V is the first spinoff of The Boys, alongside the animated anthology show The Boys Presents: Diabolical, which was released afterward. However, according to Comicbook.com, creators have confirmed two more spinoffs of The Boys coming up, such as Vought Rising, which is a prequel series starring Jensen Ackles (Supernatural, The Winchesters) as Soldier Boy and Aya Cash (The Franchise, Scare Me) as Stormfront; and The Boys: Mexico, currently in development, starring Diego Luna (Narcos: Mexico, Star Wars: Andor), with Gael Garcia Bernal (Coco, La Máquina) as producer.
Gen V season one is available to stream on Prime Video, as the second season is set to release in 2025.
