Recent footage for the upcoming second season to the famous Korean drama series, Squid Game, has been revealed. According to a previous post by mxdwn, along with returning stars of the first season such as Lee Jung-Jae (The Hunt),we will be introduced to brand new cast members, such as Yang Dong-Guen (Night of the Undead), singer Yim Si-Wan (Hell is Other People), Park Sung-Hoon (Three Days), and Kang Ha-Neu(Forgotten).
On Netflix’s official Instagram page, we are introduced with a teaser, which shows the ending scene from the finale of the previous season, and Gi-hun tells the mystery individual that he will stop them at any cost.Additionally, the post shows snippets of the new series, including a snippet of a potential participant talking and discussing the game to the game master.
According to a previous post by mxdwn, there was several questions unanswered from the season one finale that could be answered in the second season, such as what will happen to the main protagonist of the show, Gi-hun? Is he returning to stop or play the game? We will have to see on how he plans to dismantle the games for good.
The acclaimed show has had a impressive rating of 95%, which lead to having a reality show based on it. Squid Game:Challenge , puts real people inside the show itself, in which they will have to compete and finish familiar challenges from the show, as well as new ones.
Overall, Squid Game two is sure to to be jam packed with all new challenges that the players will have to overcome.While there has not been a confirmed release date for the season, it has been speculated to be released in late 2024.
