According to Comicbook, the upcoming fifth episode of Halo will be titled “Aleria,” where, amongst the chaos, Soren, played by Bokeem Woodbine (Old Dads), and Laera, played by Fiona O’Shaughnessy (Until Death), will go on a journey to find their son,Kessler. An exclusive promo of the upcoming episode has been released and shows the parents on an unknown planet seeking information about the whereabouts of their son.
The last episode of Halo left the Reach being invaded by forces of the Convenant, with John and the Silver Team fighting while the refugees escaped. The episodes end with them heavily injured and the death of Vannak, played by Bentley Kalu (Kill Command). The fifth episode will see our heroes rise up from the aftermath, but John is on the verge of life and death. We see him in the collective mind space with Makee, played by Charlie Murphy (The Foreigner).
After the Reach attack, we see that Makee has taken Cortana, and plans to use her advance ai to achieve The Covenant’s mission.
Beyond the action, “Aleria” delves deeper into the personal struggles of every character. Further in the promo, we are shown Kwan Ya, played by Yerin Ha (Bad Behaviour), as she lands on a mysterious planet and traverses through the desert. She then meets a mysterious group, which tells her she has forgotten her name and that she is a protector.
Overall, the fifth episode of the acclaimed sci-fi series Halo is scheduled to make its televised debut on February 29 at 8 p.m. eastern time. The episode shows the stakes have risen and will continue as the battle for the entire galaxy continues. Questions surrounding the promo have surfaced, such as: Will John pull through his near-death experience? Where is Keller? Will the others make it out of the Reach? The previous episodes of season two are available stream on Paramount+.
