*Spoiler* ‘Walking Dead:Daryl Dixon’ Showrunner Explains On Shocking Character Death And How It Will Affect The Story

*Spoiler*

The popular spin-off series in The Walking Dead franchise, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, released major information on prominent character’s death. According to Comicbook, the series focuses on the journey of Daryl, played by Norman Reedus (Blade II), who finds himself at the center of a power struggle and meets new allies and enemies alike. Daryl had recently reunited with Carol, played by Melissa McBride (The Mist), in the fourth episode titled “La Paradis Pour Toi,” which was called bittersweet by viewers.

According to Comicbook, within the episode, Isabelle, played by Clémence Poésy (The Tunnel), was tortured by Losang, played by Joel de la Fuente (Julia), to give up her nephew’s location, but this ultimately fails, which leads Losang to stab her. Carol had rescued Isabelle from being bitten and regrouped with Daryl, in which the two sealed their relationship with a kiss. Unfortunately, Isabelle had succumbed to her injuries and had told Daryl, with her dying breath, to take care of Laurent and said, “I can see them. The fireflies, they’re beautiful.”

For the moment when Isabelle dies, I think what we wanted was great dignity, intelligence, strength, and a really moving ending to the character,” showrunner and episode co-writer David Zabel (Betrayal) explained in an interview with Comicbook on the episode. He continued, saying, “Isabelle’s death hits hard because she’s touched something within [Daryl] that we haven’t seen before, and it’s because she’s so different from him. And it’s also because she’s tied into this boy that he loves, and now he has to make sure, after that, not to let the same thing happen with Laurent.”

According to an mxdwn post, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is currently on its second season but has been renewed for third season, which was announced at this year’s NYCC, along with news on The Walking Dead: Dead City. New episodes of the renowned zombie series are released every Sunday, and all current episodes can be streamed on AMC+.
