According to Screenrant, the finale of the sci-fi series showcases Jod Na Nawood, played by Jude Law (Captain Marvel), ultimately defeated when trying to complete his personal mission of taking control of the Republic mint. His downfall brought about the lost plant At-Attin, which is revealed to the whole galaxy.”
According to Screenrant, series showrunners Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and Christopher Ford (Chaos Walking) teased about future plans that they have for the series. Watts points out in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, “Everyone that we work with the show on is essentially in Los Angeles and dealing with real life right now.” He continued, “There’s lots of potential out there and hope everyone sees that.”
“We wouldn’t pretend like the kids are only six months older if we made more,” Watts continued the statement and insisted to Screenrant. “It is fun to think of them growing up and where they would fit into the galaxy and how their world.” As he notes, “their secluded planet is now officially a part of the larger galaxy. So what would be the ramifications of that?”
According to Screenrant, after the series finale, the show landed fifth place among the top 10 Star Wars TV shows, showcasing that despite receiving a low viewership, it was an enjoyable watch. Fans have been skeptical due to controversies surrounding the previous series, The Acolyte, but they realize that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was a breath of fresh air afterward.
