Sneak Peek: Prime Video Reveals Thrilling Season Three Opening of ‘The Wheel of Time’

In an exclusive release, Prime Video unveiled an explosive 11-minute sneak peek for fans eager to return to the world of The Wheel of Time. The third season is set to premiere on March 13, following the third episode of Reacher. The Wheel of Time, based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling fantasy series, is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.

The sneak peek introduces an intense battle between good and evil, featuring a shocking revelation of Sorceresses secretly aligned with the Dark One. This violent confrontation promises to forever alter the world’s fate. Season Three follows the events of the fourth book, The Shadow Rising, and takes audiences to new locations, including the Aiel Waste’s vast deserts and the forbidden city of Rhuidean.

As the story progresses, the season will explore a variety of regions within the fictional Westlands. Viewers will journey through the perilous Tanchico, a city of seduction and danger, and the fog-laden city of Rhuidean. Along with returning characters, several new faces join the cast, including Rosamund Pike (Saltburn, Gone Girl) as Moiraine Damodred and Daniel Henney (Criminal Minds) as al’Lan Mandragoran.

According to Prime Video, the season will debut with its first three episodes, followed by weekly releases until the season finale on April 17, 2025. With the stakes higher than ever, the tension between Light and Dark intensifies as key players confront both external and internal forces.

The show boasts an extensive ensemble cast, featuring Josha Stradowski (Gran Turismo) as Rand al’Thor and Zoë Robins (Power Rangers Ninja Steel) as Nynaeve al’Meara. Also joining the cast are Madeleine Madden (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) as Egwene al’Vere and Dónal Finn (Rogue Heroes) as Mat Cauthon. The season is directed by an exceptional team, including showrunner Rafe Judkins (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hemlock Grove), alongside several executive producers, including Pike and Ted Field (Jumanji: The Next Level).
