Reported by Deadline, the show focuses on the journey of the titled ex-con photographer, now private investigator, played by Scott Speedman (Underworld, Teacup), who uncovers a conspiracy and must solve it. Fortunately, he doesn’t work alone, as he partners with Emilia, played by Jaina Lee Ortiz (Station 19, The Vortex), and others to help in solving the cases.
According to Deadline, since it’s grand debut back in March 3, the gritty detective series has already garnered an outstanding 3.69 million views , with the momentum continuing across various platforms such as Hulu and Disney+ raising it up to 11.4 million. With future episodes release the viewership of crime drama promises to have a hopeful spike leading to tv records being broken.
According to Deadline, the format of RJ Decker is similar to another crime show, High Potential, starring Kaitlin Olson (The Heat, Finding Dory). While both series focus on the crime solving genre, they also do a perfect way to add a little comedy within to help lighten the mood and grow their audience views. In the latest episode, Wish, played by Kevin Rankin (Claws, Trauma) ask for his assistance in a bizarre case regarding an old cellmate’s son who is wrongly accused of murder.The latest episode propelled the series score to a solid 75%, signaling that the narrative has effectively hooked the audience and left them eager on the next case.
