The release date of the next arc of the acclaimed anime, Demon Slayer , has been revealed. According to Screenrant, Crunchyroll has confirmed that the upcoming season of Demon Slayer will simultaneously debut both globally and on the national broadcast on May 12th and new episodes will debut every week.
The series will be produced by Ufotable (Fate/Zero) as was done in the previous seasons.According to Screenrant, this arc will see the heroes embark on a grueling training regimen alongside the elite swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps – the Hashira. As they hone their skills and uncover their true potential.
The next arc covered nine chapters within the manga, and this could poise as an obstacle in adapting it into the animation and could only produce four to five episodes. This leave the community perplex on what source material the team will use for the rest of the season.
The trailer above gives a glimpse into the training that the protagonists will be undergoing, and The upcoming arc is pivotal to the story as it delves into the backstory behind some of the Hashiras and what motivates them. Previously, the Swordsmith arc revealed Mitsuri’s, Muichiro’s, and a bit of Sanemi’s, but the upcoming one will focus the others espacially Giyu’s and Gyomei’s.
Adding to the excitement, the English cast that captivated audiences in previous seasons are expected to return! Zach Aguilar (Genshin Impact) as Tanjiro, Abby Trott (Z0m 100) as Nezuko, Aleks Le (Dorohedoro) as Zenitsu, and Bryce Papenbrook (Attack on Titan) as Inosuke will once again voice these fan-favorite characters. Other cast members include Johnny Young Bosch (Bleach), Erika Harlacher (Seven Deadly Sins), Griffin Burns (Kakeguri) and many more.
This arc is poised to be a thrilling installment within the franchise, and while waiting for the premiere fans can rewatch the previous seasons on Netflix or Crunchyroll.
