Stellan Skarsgård is the most recent addition to the cast of Cinemax’s Quarry pilot, TVLine reports.
Based on Max Allan Collins’ novels, the series is set in 1973 and revolves around a Marine marksman (played by Logan Marshall-Green) who returns home from Vietnam to find himself rejected by society. He falls into a world of crime, recruited by Skarsgård’s character, “The Broker”. Described as a “shadowy figure,” the corrupt Broker runs a network of contract killers.
Skarsgård joins a cast that includes Marshall-Green (“Prometheus”), Noah Taylor (“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”) and Skipp Sudduth (Third Watch). The pilot will be directed by John Hillcoat (“Lawless”).
