According to The Hollywood Reporter, Showtime’s Yellowjackets recently concluded its third installment with it being its most-watched season so far. The third season gathered 3 million cross-platform viewers worldwide in the first seven days since premiering on April 11. The series aired on Paramount+ with Showtime and it acquired the most views for a season finale for the series and a 19 percent improvement on the season two finale in May 2023.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series’ third season was the most watched for Yellowjacket, increasing the numbers by 3 percent since the second season. The series also generated 10 million social engagements over the course of the season , growing by 186 percent.
Yellowjackets is a series with a dual timeline narrative that follows the story of a girl’s high school soccer team that survived a plane crash and then attempted to survive in the vast Ontario wilderness. The series follows the girls who deal with many hardships such as trying to survive as well as dealing with cannibalistic clans. On the other side of the coin, their adult counterparts 25 years later tell the gruesome truth about their survival.
The series cast includes Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet), Samantha Hanratty (Shameless), Courtney Eaton (Gods of Egypt), Sophie Nelisse (Close), Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness), Tawny Cypress (Brooklyn’s Finest), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Scream), Christina Ricci (Wednesday) and many others.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Showtime has yet to announce the renewal of Yellowjackets after the third season. Co-creator and co-showrunner Ashley Lyle (The Originals) told The Hollywood Reporter after the finale that “We feel that there is more story to tell and we’re really excited to dive into it.”
Yellowjackets is available to stream on Paramount+.
