SHOWTIME’s New Dark Comedy Series ‘The Curse’ Unveils Trailer and Key Art

The Curse is a new dark-comedy TV series that is on Paramount+. According to Deadline,The premise of the show follows the lives of a married couple whose relationships is tested by an alleged curse while they try to conceive a child and co-star in their new home-improvement show. The trailer gives viewers a first glimpse of the show’s unique blend of humor and horror. The cast of this show includes Emma Stone(Cruella), Nathan Felder(The Night Before), and Ben Safdie(Oppenheimer). 

The show is executive produced and written by Benny Safdie(Licorice Pizza) and Nathan Fielder(The Night Before), who also directs. Emma Stone(La La Land), her husband Dave McCary(Brigsby Bear), and Ali Herting(Problemista) executive produce through their Fruit Tree banner, alongside Josh Safdie, who produces through their Elara banner. According to Deadline, the 10-episode series will launch Friday, November 10 on streaming and on demand for Showtime and Paramount+ subscribers before making its linear debut on Showtime on Sunday, November 12 at 1 pm ET/PT. Showtime has prepared to expand on some of the key images and a teaser trailer. One of the key images displays Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder as their characters, wearing hardhats, googles, and holding sledge hammers next to a hole in the wall.

 The Curse will be co-produced by Showtime and A24, two companies known for their high-quality and innovative programming. This is a significant announcement, as it suggests that the show will be a unique and groundbreaking experience for viewers. This is evident in the types of shows and films that they produce, which often explore challenging and taboo subjects. The key art reveals the three actors, as they are standing in front of the couple’s mirror-covered house, with their reflections being slightly distorted which could symbolize how their lives will be affected throughout the series.
