The first trailer for the Showtime comedy Happyish starring Steve Coogan was released on Friday.
The Comedy, which originally starred the late Philip Seymour Hoffman follows the lead Thom Payne, a 44-year-old guy whose world is thrown into disarray when his boss arrives and forces Thom to take a good look at his life. THR reported the series is described as a comedic, soul-searching examination of our pursuit of happiness and why it continues to be so elusive.
Kathryn Hahn and Bradley Whitford star alongside Coogan and the show includes guests such as Ellen Barkin, Carrie Preston and more.
Shalom Auslander of This American Life created, wrote and executive produces the project. Ken Kwapis (He’s Just Not That Into You) also executive produces and directed the pilot alongside producing partner Alexandra Beattie, who will co-EP under their In Cahoots banner.
Happyish debuts Sunday, April 26 at 9:30 p.m. on Showtime.
