‘She-Hulk’s’ Future: Producer Hints at What’s Next

According to Comicbook, producer Wendy Jacobson (Skyscraper), when talking Deadpool and Wolverine, teased about a potential second season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The series focuses on Jennifer Walters, played by Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), who balances her job of dealing with superhuman-based cases while also dealing with crimes as the titled character.

“I don’t know the answer to that question,”acobson said in an interview with Comicbook. “I mean, if we’re doing more She-Hulk… What I love about She-Hulk is just kind of being in this character’s everyday life. It’s a woman in her thirties, trying to navigate her life and her career and her friendships, and oh, she just happens to also be able to turn into a Hulk. So, I think I would love to explore more of that. There’s also a run in the comics where she goes into space and she’s adjudicating cases for the Living Tribunal. So, I either want to be super, super grounded in L.A. or I want to take her out into the multiverse, or into the universe.”

Jacobson’s comment suggests that the rumored second season could delve deep into the personal life of She-Hulk, balancing her work life and life as a superhero. According to Comicbook, there have been questions floating around the future of the series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as Maslany has yet to be confirmed to reprise her role as the titled character, and she goes on to answer in an interview about the misleading information, “I don’t think so. I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like, ‘no thanks.'”

So whether She-Hulk gets redeemed for a second season, further exploring She-Hulk as she continues to fight both in court and on the street, the show’s future is endless. The first season of the Marvel series is available to stream on Disney+.
