According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct, Casino) has officially joined the cast of HBO’s Euphoria for its highly anticipated third season. The InSneider first broke the news of her involvement earlier this month, and it has now been confirmed that the acclaimed actress will star in the upcoming installment of the hit series.

Expressing her excitement, Stone stated, “There is little more exciting than going to work with this team of thrilling talent. From the genius of Sam Levinson (The IdolMalcolm & Marie) to the raw sophistication of this profoundly moving cast and tight crew. I am honored to be Euphoric.”

Specifics about Stone’s character remain to be seen, but she will be joining a star-studded ensemble that includes Zendaya (Challengers, Dune: Part Two), Hunter Schafer (CuckooKinds of Kindness), Sydney Sweeney (Anyone But YouThe White Lotus), Jacob Elordi (PriscillaSaltburn) and the recently Oscar-nominated Colman Domingo (Sing Sing, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man). HBO recently announced that production on Euphoria’s third season has begun after an almost three-year-long break. Alongside Stone, two brand new cast members, Toby Wallace (The BikeridersPistol) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (The UnionThe Fix) have been confirmed as series regulars. Additionally, Kadeem Hardison (A Different WorldMoonhaven), former NFL player Marshawn Lynch (Love HurtsBottoms) and Grammy-winning artist Rosalia (Pain and Glory, Los Ángeles) will take on sizable guest appearances.

The upcoming season of Euphoria will feature a large time skip, focusing on the previously high school-age characters into adulthood. Though an exact release has yet to be announced, the new season will likely debut sometime next year.
