‘Sharknado’ Sequel Title Announced

SyFy executive producers asked Twitter fans to come up with a sequel subtitle for “Sharknado 2”. The movie set in New York City premiering in 2014 will be titled “Sharknado 2: The Second One”.

The generally obvious name as ridiculous as the movie idea itself has still upset people after SyFy made the announcement Thursday. Fans mocked the title and further offered their own suggestions through Twitter, the same serivce fans were asked to come up with the sequel name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Mortal Kombat” co-creator Ed Boon tweeted: “Sharknado 2: The Second One. Really? That’s the title of the sequel? Why not just call it ‘Sharknado 2 1/2’ while you’re at it?”

WWE champion-turned-stand-up comic Dolph Ziggler added: “sharknado 2, should be a prequel called sharknado 0, john connor goes back in time & kills ‪@twitter before it misleads ‪@SyfyTV execs”.
