Learning never ends with it comes to sex education. The popular British series, Sex Education, has been renewed by Netflix for a third season.
The series, which stars Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, and Ncuti Gatwa, is about teenagers at Moordale High School exploring their sexuality. The second season of the critically acclaimed dramedy was just released on Netflix last month.
The announcement was posted on Monday on Netflix’s U.K. Twitter account. The caption reads, “let’s talk about sex baby, let’s talk about season 3 (of Sex Education).” The video attached to the post featured Alistair Petrie’s character Michael Groff, the headmaster and Adam’s father.

Netflix revealed figures for the streaming service, including figures for Sex Education, last year. If an episode has been watched through at least 70% of the way through, Netflix considers it viewed.
By the second season of the show, the main character Otis Milburn, played by Butterfield, learns to uncover his sexual urges as he is in a relationship with Ola, played by Patricia Allison. Meanwhile, Otis must deal with his strained friendship with Maeve, played by Mackey.
At the same time, Otis also struggles with the new relationship his mother, played by Anderson, has with her lover, Jakob, played by Mikael Persbrandt. Moordale Secondary is also going through a Chlamydia outbreak that shakes up everyone involved.
The series is written and created by Laurie Nunn, produced by Eleven Films and is directed by Ben Taylor. The third season will return to Netflix in 2021.
