And then three were four. The HBO Max Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That, is flaunting its newest cast member, Nicole Ari Parker (Chicago P.D). Taking to instagram, star of the series, Sarah Jessica Parker (Divorced), shared a photo from the set, featuring the first image of herself alongside co-stars Cynthia Nixon (Ratched), Kristin Davis (Bad Teacher), and now Parker, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
The notorious feud between Parker and former co-star Kim Cattrall (Filthy Rich), who played Samantha Jones in the original series, resulted in Cattrall announcing she would not be appearing in And Just Like That. This led to an endless parade of memes with fans wondering who could replace the irreplaceable, as Cattrall was deemed the resident scene-stealer of the series.
Now, the memes can be put to bed, as the first image of the new core four women at the center of the upcoming reboot has been released for the world to see. The girls were all smiles in the photos Parker posted, as the upcoming revival is currently in the middle of shooting in New York City. Parker, who’s returning to the series to play New York columnist Carrie Bradshaw, captioned her Instagram post: “Oh so fine. I’d sing along to 70’s love songs with this trio deep into any night.@justlikethatmax I’ll see you ladies tomorrow! X, SJ.”

Returning as the iconic and stylish writer Bradshaw, Parker is flanked by Nixon and Davis, who will be returning to play Miranda Hobbs and Charlotte York respectively. And Just Like That will follow the similar format of the original series, as the three navigate love, life, and The Big Apple while in their fifties. Newest cast member Parker will play Lisa Todd Wesley, a park avenue mother of three, who is somehow linked to Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte.
Other new cast members added to the roster for the revival include Sara Ramírez (Grey’s Anatomy), who will be playing series regular Che Diaz, a nonbinary stand-up comedian and podcaster. Sarita Choudhury (The Green Knight) has been cast as cutthroat Manhattan real estate broker Seema Patel, while Karen Pittman (The Morning Show) is set to play Dr. Nya Wallace, a law professor at Columbia University.
Chris Noth (The Good Wife), Mario Cantone (Otherhood), Willie Garson (Hawaii Five-0), Evan Handler (Californication), and David Eigenberg (Chicago Fire) will all return in the reboot, reprising their roles from the original series. Darren Star (Emily in Paris), creator of Sex and the City, is back to helm the ten-part revival series. There has been no premiere date announced as of yet.
