Fox is continuing its relationship with Seth MacFarlane.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has announced on Friday that they have ordered a new series for Seth MacFarlane. The network has given the new animated comedy called Bordertown an order of 13 episodes and it will air next year. The show has been in development at Fox since 2009.
Mark Hentemann, the producer of Family Guy, has created the comedy. The action takes place in a fictitious town in Texas. The action centers Bud Buckwald, a married father who is a patrol agent and doesn’t like the cultural changes that are going on around him.
The animated comedy takes a satirical look at America’s cultural shifts and it shows how the relationship between Bud and his neighbor, Ernesto Gonzales, is evolving.
The executive producers of the show will be Hentemann, Seth MacFarlane, Alex Cart and Dan Vebber (from American Dad and Futurama).
