‘Secrets of Sulphur Springs’ Not Renewed For Another Season

According to TVLine, Secrets of Sulphur Springs is not being renewed for a fourth season by Disney. The news comes to light a few weeks after the Jessie spinoff Bunk’d was not renewed for another season.

Starring Preston Oliver (This Is Us, Chicago Fire), Secrets of Sulphur Springs follows Griffin Campbell (Oliver) whose family lives in the small town of Sulphur Springs after assuming ownership of The Tremont hotel.

The series gains drama after Griffin learns about the ghost of a missing girl who haunts The Tremont. Griffin becomes friends with Harper, played by Kyliegh Curran (Doctor Sleep, The Fall of the House of Usher), an aspiring detective and together they discover a portal that allows them to travel through time.

Season three’s finale aired in May of 2023. The series ends with a new ghost checking into Room 205 of The Tremont planning to cause destruction. The kids try to stop the ghost after learning the evil spirit will ruin their lives by 2024.

According to TVLine, Secrets of Sulphur Springs along with Bunk’d shows a series of live action cancellations at the Disney Channel. This has sparked curiosity about the direction for the rumored reboot of the Wizard of Waverly Place.

The series was created, written and executive produced by Tracey Thomson (All My Children, The Young and the Restless).

Secrets of Sulphur Springs also starred Josh Braaten (Married to the Kellys, The Mentalist) as Ben Campbell, Eugene Byrd (8 Mile, Bones) as Sam Tremont, Kelly Frye (Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, The Flash) as Sarah Campbell, Landon Gordon (Top Gun: Maverick, Westworld) as Wyatt Campbell, Elle Graham (Mile 22, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.) as Savannah Dillon, Diandra Lyle (Beauty and the Baller, Bel-Air) as Jess Dunn, Madeleine McGraw (The Black Phone, The Mandela Effect) as Zoey Campbell and Johari Washington (The Walk-On’s) as Topher Dunn.
