Season Two Trailer of Paramount+’s ‘Special Ops: Lioness’ Has Been Released

According to Deadline, in a new trailer for the second season of the military action-drama series Special Ops: Lioness, Zoe Saldaña’s (Avatar, Guardians Of The Galaxy) character Joe asked a new recruiter, “Do you love your country?” Saldaña’s Joe then says, “Your country needs you more.”

Joe has many lines in the trailer, such as this voiceover: “There’s no such thing as a moral war. There’s survival, and there’s surrender.”

Along with Saldaña’s voiceovers, the trailer includes Morgan Freeman’s (Lucy, Seven) Edwin Mullins asking Nicole Kidman’s (Big Little Lies, The Perfect Couple) Kaitlyn Meade, “How did we get to where we are today? Nobody’s innocent. Nobody.” Kidman’s character adds to that statement by saying, “No one can be trusted.”

The shows’ cast also stars Genesis Rodriguez (The Umbrella Academy, Big Hero 6), Laysla De Oliveira (Locke and Key, Acquainted) and Michael Kelly (House of Cards, Dawn of the Dead), who are returning to the new season.

The premiere will be first released with two episodes only in the United States and other countries where Paramount+ is available. The production for season two is in Texas.

The series’ cast includes Saldaña, Kelly, Rodríguez, De Oliveira, Kidman and Freeman. Along with acting, Freeman, Kidman and Saldaña executively produced the show.

Season 2 has Saldaña’s Joe, Kidman’s Kaitlyn and Kelly’s Byron enrolled in a new Lioness machine operator to invade a past threat to the CIA that is coming closer to their home. Additionally, Joe comes to terms with the sacrifices of being in the Lioness program.
